For 6th-8th Grade
SAFE Skills is a monthly on-campus prevention program designed to help students make positive choices during the pressures of adolescence. From determining goals to debunking myths, SAFE Skills gives students an opportunity to discuss and ask hard questions in preparation for the years ahead.
SAFE Skills combines informative teaching with interactive games to make memorable moments for all middle school students. Lessons build off one another from month to month and students are provided with a finished portfolio of their progress at the end of each year.
Some of the lessons include:
- Setting life goals and defining guiding values
- Exploring assertiveness and positive communication skills
- Debunking the myths versus realities of drug and alcohol abuse
- Promoting alternative coping skills and emotion regulation
